Hi! We’re Aron, Mina & M. from just wondering…<\/p>\n

\u00cen primul r\u00e2nd, \u00ee\u021bi mul\u021bumim c\u0103 te-ai g\u00e2ndit s\u0103 ne sus\u021bii! \u0218tim c\u00e2t de multe proiecte au nevoie de sus\u021binere \u00een acest moment \u0219i suntem foarte recunosc\u0103torix.<\/p>\n

We, at just wondering…, have been working on making animated essays since 2016, aiming to put forward critical narratives and make academic knowledge more accessible. Increasingly, we’ve become focused on social and environmental justice issues, antispeciesism, posthumanism and total liberation politics.<\/p>\n

We’re three close friends from Eastern Europe (Romania), each with their own curiosities and expertise, working together to produce these videos. We’ve grown and learned a lot in these years, as well as worked countless hours on this project and collaborated with absolutely amazing writers and artists. Our short film “we fly, we crawl, we swim” got awarded at numerous film festivals and a few of our animated essays have been shown in art galleries and exhibitions.<\/p>\n\t\t

Realizarea acestor eseuri animate este captivant\u0103, dar \u0219i provocatoare. Aproape fiecare film pe care \u00eel realiz\u0103m necesit\u0103 sute de ore, de la concept la cercetare, scriere, editare, \u00eenregistrare, ilustrare, anima\u021bie, compozi\u021bie \u0219i post-produc\u021bie, f\u0103c\u00e2nd ca totul s\u0103 func\u021bioneze \u00eempreun\u0103. Unele eseuri animate pot fi realizate \u00eentr-o lun\u0103 sau dou\u0103, dar alte proiecte, mai complexe, pot dura mai mult de jum\u0103tate de an, cum a fost cazul scurtmetrajului nostru<\/p>\n

We’re very dedicated to doing this work and really believe in the power of audiovisual storytelling to get across critical ideas. In time, our films have gotten more specific, but we believe they are also stronger that way.<\/p>\n

Well, wouldn’t we want to know too! It really depends on the project. Some animated essays can take about a month or two to complete, other videos\/films take six or more. Sometimes it’s harder, sometimes it’s easier, but we’ll keep you updated with what’s going on.<\/p>\n

In 2025 we were invited to be part of \u201eThe politics of (not) eating animals<\/a>” project by Eva Meijer. It was supported by a Veni Grant from the Dutch Research Council (NWO).
